Trinity Church exists to Glorify GOD by making and multiplying Spirit-led disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. We intend to do this through being and living as a New Covenant people committed to gospel-centered worship, gospel-centered community, gospel-centered discipleship and gospel-centered mission (Mt. 5:1-16; 16:13-18; 28:16-20; Acts 2; Eph. 4:1-16; 1 Peter 2:1-12).
A Summary of Gospel-centered Ministry
At Trinity Church we desire that all we are and all that we do be shaped by the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, living in this world for GOD's Kingdom and Glory as we follow Christ Jesus alone as Lord. The Gospel that changes the world was recovered by the Protestant Reformers and is summarized by them in 5 Biblical Sola's (alone statements) that define a gospel-centered church and ministry. Scripture Alone means that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the alone and sufficient authority for all we believe and how we live. Grace Alone means that it is by God's Sovereign and free grace alone that we are saved from sin and death, rescued from the just wrath of God upon us, and enter into eternal life, being regenerated by the Holy Spirit. Faith Alone means that Christ's perfect righteousness is imputed or credited to us only through faith in the Person and Work of Jesus Christ. Christ Alone means that Jesus has done the work of salvation utterly and completely and perfectly. We need no other Prophet to reveal God's word and will to us, no other Priests to mediate God's salvation and blessing to us, and no other King to rule over us and shape our lives and minds and hearts. To GOD Alone Be Glory means that all things exist for the glory of GOD and that we human beings find our purpose and meaning in glorifying GOD and enjoying Him forever. As Paul says in Romans after thouroughly expounding the gospel of Jesus Christ for 11 chapters, "For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen" (Rom. 11:36). We are to joyfully live our entire lives before the face of GOD, under His authority and for His glory alone. This is eternal life: to know the One True God as Father and Jesus Christ whom He has sent (John 17:3).
