Who we are - [mission/vision]

Trinity Church exists to Glorify GOD by making and multiplying Spirit-led disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ.  We intend to do this through being and living as a New Covenant people committed to gospel-centered worship, gospel-centered community, gospel-centered discipleship and gospel-centered mission (Mt. 5:1-16; 16:13-18; 28:16-20; Acts 2; Eph. 4:1-16; 1 Peter 2:1-12).

A Summary of Gospel-centered Ministry

At Trinity Church we desire that all we are and all that we do be shaped by the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, living in this world for GOD's Kingdom and Glory as we follow Christ Jesus alone as Lord.  The Gospel that changes the world was recovered by the Protestant Reformers and is summarized by them in 5 Biblical Sola's (alone statements) that define a gospel-centered church and ministry.  Scripture Alone means that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the alone and sufficient authority for all we believe and how we live.   Grace Alone means that it is by God's Sovereign and free grace alone that we are saved from sin and death, rescued from the just wrath of God upon us, and enter into eternal life, being regenerated by the Holy Spirit.  Faith Alone   means that Christ's perfect righteousness is imputed or credited to us only through faith in the Person and Work of Jesus Christ.  Christ Alone means that Jesus has done the work of salvation utterly and completely and perfectly.  We need no other Prophet to reveal God's word and will to us, no other Priests to mediate God's salvation and blessing to us, and no other King to rule over us and shape our lives and minds and hearts.  To GOD Alone Be Glory means that all things exist for the glory of GOD and that we human beings find our purpose and meaning in glorifying GOD and enjoying Him forever.  As Paul says in Romans after thouroughly expounding the gospel of Jesus Christ for 11 chapters, "For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things.  To Him be the glory forever and ever.  Amen" (Rom. 11:36).  We are to joyfully live our entire lives before the face of GOD, under His authority and for His glory alone.  This is eternal life: to know the One True God as Father and Jesus Christ whom He has sent (John 17:3).

A Gospel-centered Church

Gospel-Centered Worship -  We gather weekly to worship our great God and Savior in Spirit and in Truth.  We adhere to the regulative principle of worship which means that everything we do in our corporate worship of GOD is to be regulated by the Word of God.  This means that we gather for worship being formed in every aspect by the Word of God - we gather to read the Word, preach the Word, pray the Word, sing the Word, and live the Word.  Gospel-centered Community - When we come to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ we enter into the family of GOD enjoying fellowship together with God as our Father, with Jesus as our Shepherd King, and the Holy Spirit as our Helper.  Acts 2:42 summarizing gospel-centered community as being passionately committed to the Lord Jesus Christ and devoted to one another in a local church community that is devoted to the Apostle's teaching, the fellowship, the breaking of bread, and the prayers.  We live life together as the Lord Jesus' people weekly by being involved in a community group.  Gospel-centered Discipleship - God's Word tells us that the church is the pillar and support of God's truth in Christ in this world full of lies.  Discipleship is teaching people to increasingly submit all of life to the Empowering Presence and Lordship of Jesus Christ, finding life in HIs Name!  We are committed at Trinity to teaching people to obey all that the Lord Jesus commands of them by systematically teaching through our Trinity Bible Institutes and the preaching of the Word on Sundays the whole counsel of God as found in the Old and New Testaments.  We are committed to multiplying disciple-making disciples our our Lord Jesus Christ.  Gospel-centered Mission - We are committed to teaching the Word of God and sound, deep biblical doctrine in order to equip disciples for the work of disciple-making living spreading the gospel of His Kingdom in word and deed to Minot and beyond. We intend to spread a passion for our Lord Jesus Christ and His Gospel Kingdom, living as His salt and light ambassadors until He comes or takes us home.
