"And Jesus came and said to them, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And behold I am with you always, even to the end of the age" (Mt. 28:18-20).
At Trinity Church we gladly bow to the Lordship of Jesus Christ! Our goal as a church is to following Jesus Christ as Lord, bowing to the authority of HIs Word, The Bible, and living in obedience to Him & growing into His likeness. We desire to be holy as He is holy. Our Lord prayed for us as HIs church in this world that we might be 'sanctified in the Truth; God's Word is Truth." The Apostle Peter says that we who have faith in Jesus Christ the Son of God 'have been born-again, not of perishable seed, but imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God; for 'All flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers and the flower falls, but the Word of the Lord remains forever.' And this word is the good news that was preached to you" (1 Peter 1:23-25). Peter goes on to say that once we are born-again, once we are truly redeemed through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, God's Word continues to work in us so that we can 'grow up into our salvation.' This sanctification in the truth of God's Word is what we want for all who call Trinity their church home. Discipleship is teaching people the Word of God so that they come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and follow Jesus Christ as Lord, increasingly submitting all of their life to His Empowering Presence finding life in obedience to HIs Word. We are committed to teaching the Word of God and the doctrines that are taught in the Word in order to 'equip the saints for the work of ministry for the building up of the body of Christ until we all attain to the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of teh fullness of Christ" (Eph. 4:11-13). Our goal is to be a thoroughly biblical and doctrinal teaching church so that all may grow up into maturity in Christ Jesus, being taught to obey all that He commands of us.
